Covid-19 Business Support Grants: Local Authority Discretionary Grant Fund

The Government has set out the following national qualifying criteria for a discretionary grant fund. The fund has been setup to assist small businesses with high fixed property-related costs. The business will need to demonstrate that they have suffered a significant fall in income due to the Covid-19 crisis. The grant fund is only available to businesses with fewer than 50 employees and they must have been trading on the 11th March.

Businesses which are eligible for the existing Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grants or Small Business Grants Schemes are not eligible to claim from this Discretionary Fund.

This form is provided to capture the information required by Stockport Council to verify and make the payment of these grants.

This discretionary grant fund is an application process with a closure date of midnight on Friday 7th August 2020. Once the application process has closed, Stockport Council will then process bulk grant payments to all eligible businesses.
